On Tuesday, 5 October, traffic police officers conducted an operation to check whether drivers were complying with traffic regulations on the bridge on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec. Renovation work is currently under way on the structure and, consequently, the traffic organization has changed.
Bolesławiec police officers had been receiving reports for some time that drivers were repeatedly breaking traffic regulations on this section of road, most often driving through red lights. During Tuesday’s operation, conducted from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., officers identified 25 cases of failing to obey traffic lights and issued the same number of fines.
Police remind drivers that failing to obey traffic lights carries a fine of PLN 300 to 500 and 6 penalty points.
