The incident occurred after 11:00 a.m. on the road between Brzeźnik and Zabłocie. The drunk 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County lost control of his vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. He had more than 0.7 parts per thousand of alcohol in his system.
A police check revealed that the man was also subject to a court-ordered ban on driving all types of vehicles in land traffic.
Violating the court-ordered ban is punishable by up to five years in prison.
