Another instance of unsportsmanlike conduct on a football pitch in the region. This time, it occurred in Lwówek County. On Sunday, October 1, during a B-class match between Skalnik Rębiszów and Pogoń Wleń, the match referee was subjected to vulgar abuse and struck in the face.

The player was reportedly so dissatisfied with the referee's decision that he allegedly said to the referee, “What the f**k are you refereeing, you f***ing idiot?” He was shown a red card for this. However, this was not the end of the player's scandalous conduct. When the referee was recording the player's number, the player approached him and struck him in the face.

The match was abandoned in the 77th minute, with the score at 3:3. The police were called to the scene. The disciplinary committee dealt with the case. The player was suspended for 3 years and fined PLN 2,000, while Skalnik Rębiszów was awarded a 0:3 walkover.

The matter was reported by lwowecki.info:

On October 4, a disciplinary committee hearing was held. In its ruling, the committee firmly condemned violence on the pitch against referees and imposed a 3-year ban from playing matches and a PLN 2,000 fine on the player, explains the Jelenia Góra Referees' College.

The disciplinary committee proceedings do not prevent the referee from pursuing criminal proceedings, followed by civil proceedings.
