Although Waldemar Witkowski is running for the Senate from the Left, he is the opposition’s joint candidate as part of the Senate Pact. On Tuesday at midday, the candidate appeared in the market square in Bolesławiec in the presence of Arkadiusz Sikora, a Left candidate for the Sejm and Deputy Leader of the Lower Silesian Left, as well as local government officials from the region.

Among those who supported Witkowski, visible in the group photograph, were:

  • Mayor of Zgorzelec Rafał Gronicz,
  • Starosta of Lwówek County Daniel Koko,
  • Mayor of Lwówek Śląski Mariola Szczęsna,
  • Deputy Leader of the Lower Silesian Left and Sejm candidate Arkadiusz Sikora,
  • Mayor of Wrocław Jacek Sutryk,
  • Deputy Starosta of Zgorzelec County Mirosław Fiedorowicz,
  • Deputy Starosta of Głogów County Jeremi Hołownia.

Witkowski was also supported in Bolesławiec by the Mayor of Mirsk Andrzej Jasiński. Officials from local governments in the surrounding area encouraged people to vote for Waldemar Witkowski, emphasizing that he is the opposition’s only candidate from the Senate Pact.
