Szymon Kut from Bolesławiec, representing the Częstochowa Aeroclub, won a silver medal at the 52nd Polish Junior Precision Flying Championships, held at the airfield in Depułtycze Królewskie in the Lublin region.
The Częstochowa Aeroclub on the Bolesławiec resident’s success:
The Polish Junior Precision Flying Championships are one of the most important events on the calendar for young pilots, and this year’s edition provided plenty of excitement and thrills. Szymon Kut (...) demonstrated his extraordinary skills in three navigation events and a landing event, ultimately earning the well-deserved title of Polish runner-up.
– My aviation adventure began in 2018, when I started studying aviation and astronautics at the Military University of Aviation in Dęblin – the runner-up explains. – In September 2019, I obtained a pilot licence allowing me to fly aircraft.
He adds: – I have been taking part in aviation competitions for three years; after my first season, I joined the national precision flying team. In 2022, I took third place at the Polish championships, second place at the 15th Jurajskie Aircraft Competition ANR named after Piotr Sikorski – in an interesting tunnel-flight format – and second place in a precision landing competition. And this year, second place at the Polish precision flying championships.
The Bolesławiec resident admits that he sees his future in aviation: – I would like to become an airline pilot, and I am on the right path to achieving that. I currently have a few courses left to obtain a commercial pilot licence and work for an airline.
Our fellow citizen is set to compete in the 16th Jurajskie Aircraft Competition. Congratulations, and we wish you continued success.
