On Saturday, September 25, the Open Chess Meeting for the Mayor of Bolesławiec’s Cup was held in the foyer of the Forum cinema. Twenty-five chess players took part in the competition. Here are the names of the winners in the individual categories:

  • Paula Szewczyk and Bartosz Pachom – in the under-12 category
  • Katarzyna Bańbura and Mikołaj Ziętek – in the 13–15 age category
  • Mariusz Szweda – in the 16–18 age category
  • Elwira Kupisz and Andrzej Kędzia – in the 19–60 age category
  • Zdzisława Pachom and Jan Zatylny – in the 61 and over category

The tournament was organized by: the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, BKS Bobrzanie – chess section, and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre. The event was co-financed with funds from the Municipality of Bolesławiec.
