The ceremony began with a report submitted by the ceremony commander, Chief of Staff Lt. Col. Janusz Fajger, to the acting commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, Col. Dariusz Bielecki.

The 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade on Saturday’s ceremony:

After the national flag was raised and those gathered sang the national anthem, the brigade commander spoke. In his speech, he addressed the heroes of the ceremony standing in formation. The military oath is an act of a soldier’s special commitment, in which service to the homeland means constant readiness and the ability to make the ultimate sacrifice in its defense. “I, a soldier of the Polish Armed Forces, swear to serve the Republic of Poland faithfully (…)” – although reciting the words of the military oath takes little time, it entails a lifelong commitment. The act of swearing the oath is an expression of patriotism and the highest commitment to the Homeland and the Polish Nation.

The ceremony concluded with a parade of DZSW soldiers, who marched past the reviewing stand and the assembled guests.

After the parade, the soldiers went to their subunit to account for the equipment, while the assembled guests could view the equipment used by the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade.

The unit adds:

During their basic training, DZSW soldiers undergo a recruitment process in which the brigade’s personnel section, together with representatives of the Military Recruitment Center in Bolesławiec, helps them choose a suitable position in the unit so that, after taking the oath, they can begin specialist training there.
