On Monday, 11 September, the Roman Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Gromadka, in cooperation with Gromadka Municipality, signed an agreement for a project involving the renovation of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wierzbowa. Municipal officials:
The contractor selected as a result of the request for quotations is PHB Tyliński from Leszno, for a gross amount of PLN 688,799.99. The parish in Gromadka will also provide the contractor with ceramic roofing tiles purchased earlier, valued at approximately PLN 100,000.00.
They add:
As part of the renovation work, the church building’s structure will be reinforced and the roof covering will be replaced with new ceramic tiles. The project budget consists of a grant of PLN 428,226.95 provided by Gromadka Municipality from the Government Programme for the Restoration of Historic Monuments, a PLN 170,000.00 grant from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a PLN 70,000.00 grant from the budget of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and the parish’s own funds.
The project is to be completed by 29 December this year.
