Bolesławiec police officers received a report of a road incident involving a motorcyclist in a rural area. At the scene, traffic police determined that the rider had lost control of the motorcycle and hit a power pole. The motorcyclist was a 19-year-old from Bolesławiec who had more than 1 per mille of alcohol in his system and did not have a driving license.
It also turned out that the motorcycle had been stolen in Bolesławiec in March 2023 and currently had neither valid technical inspection nor compulsory insurance.
Further actions involving the 19-year-old established that the young man had not only driven while intoxicated, but had also stolen the motorcycle, worth PLN 9,000.
The suspect was charged. He faces up to five years in prison and financial consequences.
The recovered motorcycle was handed over to its owner.
