On Saturday (18 September), BKS Bobrzanie hosted Puma Pietrzykowice. Before the match, deputy starosta Starosta Chwojnicki presented football boots to one of the BKS players. This time, the gift went to Jacek Bochnia. The team decided who would receive the boots.
Unfortunately, Marcin Ciliński’s team lost Saturday’s match 1–2. The first goal came in the 27th minute. Following defensive errors, the ball reached Karol Gajos, who gave Sebastian Łokaj no chance. In the 45th minute, Jacek Bochnia headed in the equalizer.
The visitors took the lead in the 53rd minute. Karol Gajos once again took advantage of the goalmouth confusion. The Puma player scored with a bicycle kick. The score did not change for the rest of the match. BKS had several chances to equalize but failed to convert any of them. It was another poor match by our team. If the team cannot beat sides at the bottom of the table, what will happen when it faces the leaders? In the next round, BKS Bobrzanie will play away against table leaders Bielawianka Bielawa.
President Jan Woch to resign
The IstotneInformacje.pl service learned unofficially that after the defeat to Puma, BKS Bobrzanie president Jan Woch decided to resign as board president. The resignation is to be formally submitted during Tuesday’s club board meeting. We will report the outcome of Tuesday’s BKS Bobrzanie board meeting on the service.
Update: 2010-02-22 13:15
On Tuesday (21 September), at a meeting of the BKS Bobrzanie Board, Jan Woch submitted his written resignation as club president. Since there was no quorum at the meeting, the motion will most likely be considered in a week. Contrary to some statements on internet forums, Jan Woch is not abandoning everything or “running away” from the club. Until a new board is appointed, the former president wants to continue working as a board member. A copy of Jan Woch’s resignation as president can be viewed on the club’s official website (link below).
