On Monday, September 13, two collisions took place. A serious incident occurred near the village of Łąka. Two trucks were traveling along the road. The driver of the first truck slowed down and wanted to turn. The driver of the second truck, traveling behind it, was unable to brake in time and, to avoid a collision, moved into the opposite lane. The truck collided with a van. Three people in the Volkswagen were injured in the collision.
The BMW driver can speak of great luck. The man was driving along Modłowa Street toward the city center. At the intersection of Modłowa Street and Cieszkowskiego Street (the bypass), the BMW driver failed to yield the right of way to the driver of the truck. To avoid a collision, the truck driver swerved around the passenger car, knocked down a sign and drove onto the green strip, damaging a wheel and the chassis. The truck was loaded with parquet flooring. The load weighed 21 tons. If the truck driver had not swerved around the passenger car, there would have been a tragedy. Thanks to the truck driver's reflexes, the passenger car was only lightly grazed and no one was hurt.
