On Saturday (11 September), BKS Bobrzanie played an away match against Konfeks Legnica. The match began promisingly for the visitors. Łukasz Filipiak twice had a chance to beat the hosts’ goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the BKS player narrowly missed. In the 17th minute, the hosts took the lead. After a free kick, the ball bounced off the post and fell at the feet of Tomasz Kociszewski. He did not waste the opportunity and beat Sebastian Łokaj. In the remainder of the match, BKS had the advantage, but were so ineffective that they failed to confirm it with a goal. The best opportunity in the first half fell to Chrystian Serkies. Unfortunately, the BKS striker missed the goal from 3 metres.
In the second half, Konfeks had difficulty getting out of their own half. The visitors dominated and repeatedly created danger in front of the hosts’ goal. In the 52nd minute, Jacek Bochnia headed the ball against the crossbar. Nowakowski, Sworacki, Polański and Mielnik also shot at the Legnica team’s goal. Unfortunately, the ball did not find its way into the net. Near the end of the match, Serkies failed to convert a second good scoring opportunity. After his shot, the ball bounced off a defender and then off the post before going out over the goal line. BKS Bobrzanie lost to Konfeks Legnica 0–1.
Our team’s performance can be summed up briefly: “They played well and lost.” While the defence and midfield played well, the attack left much to be desired. Accurate shooting and effectiveness are lacking. Perhaps it is already time to change the formation and play more offensively, for example with two strikers. Six points in six matches is too little to think about a comfortable stay in the IV league. Our team currently occupies 11th place in the competition table.
