For the sixth time, we organized the Glinolud parade in the city of ceramics. The event received the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Cezary Przybylski.
We would like to express our great thanks for the support of:

- the Mayor of the City, Piotrowi Romanowi, for six years of exemplary cooperation. Other local governments may envy us such good cooperation between the city and county authorities and the residents.

- the president and staff of MZGK w Bolesławcu i MZGM w Bolesławcu, who, like us, care deeply about a clean planet and a clean city of ceramics (which is why we worked together so well).
During six years of organizing Gliniada and Glina Show, we also had the opportunity to work with outstanding artists from the ceramics studios Ceramika Milena and Ceramika Kaola. We are also very grateful for that.
Thank you, our readers, for being with us during and after the pandemic, and for walking in the Glinolud parade. Thank you for every smile, expression of delight and word of encouragement you gave us during these wonderful six years.
The history of Glina Show and Gliniada
2018 year: local artist Waldemar Cieślak built a huge jug, more than 4 meters tall, from 440 water bottles. The jug symbolized Joppe’s work from 1753, a pre-war attraction of Bolesławiec regarded as the world’s largest pot. In the Glina Show town, we organized fire-walking workshops.
2019 year: the first body-painting event with „Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego. Three female models and one male model took part in the parade.
2020 year: during the pandemic year, a 15-member vocal ensemble from Bolesławiec sang for us under the baton of Marcin Rolak, a tenor and graduate of the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, who led classes with the choir of I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego w Bolesławcu and the church choir at the church in the Kwiatowe estate.
2021 year: adults and young people from the Fit Style Zone sports club joined us. Young talents from the county, Eliza Sondaj and Wiktoria Parkita, also performed at the event. The ZUMBA TEAM Joanna&Magdalena dance group performed for the first time and stayed with us until 2023.
2022 year: we presented a human tower by the Bolesławiec acrobatic group of Marek and Patryk Jaworowski from the Ocelot Foundation in Bolesławiec. For them, we also prepared a screening of the film “Human Tower” in February 2023. The parade was led by drummers from Bloco Pomerania.
2023 year: in the Glina Show town, we had many attractions for children and adults. Agata from the Foremka Children’s Animation Centre led art workshops, while MZGK ran an excellent waste-separation campaign at its stand. Primary School No. 4 prepared an eco-bench for us. Painters from „Ceramika Artystyczna” Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego decorated the male and female models. The artistic program featured acrobats from Marek and Patryk Jaworowski’s group, and Zumba Team Joanna&Magdalena (the girls, painted with liquid clay, made an extraordinary impression and danced for us once more after the parade). Radek Sołtys’s furry car, driven by Maciej Kołodziejski, also made an impression. There was also a clay bench by Paweł Sai and wonderful wings from the Agrafka flower shop. We concluded the entire event with an extraordinary concert by Bloco Pomerania.

Statement
Representatives of the istotne.pl portal and the boleslawianie.eu association received information at a meeting on Sunday, August 20, with the organizer of the Ceramics Festival and city authorities, that it would not be possible to secure an unobstructed passage for the Glinolud parade through the market square during the festival. For this reason, we are withdrawing from organizing Gliniada during future Ceramics Days.
Gliniada is a celebration for people who want to build, not ruin, the Ceramics Festival. Unfortunately, without the possibility of securing a dignified passage for the Glinoluds during the parade, we cannot expose positive people to any unpleasant situations.
We also realize that we were only one part of the larger event, the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival, which will not suffer without our event. We declare that, if there is such a wish, we will make the licence to use the “Gliniada” and “Glinolud” trademarks available to the organizer of the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival.
Thank you for understanding our decision. We send our greetings to everyone who supported us, helped us and worked on Glina Show and Gliniada. We have a wonderful legacy and are very proud of six years of organizing Glina Show and Gliniada.
