On a hot Sunday (August 13), the second BKS Bolesławiec team hosted GKS Cement Raciborowice at the Water and Sports Centre pitch on Spacerowa Street in Bolesławiec. The match attracted a sizeable group of fans. Even before the competition began, the clash between these teams had been dubbed the match of the round. As is known, GKS are fighting for promotion to the regional league, and everyone wants to beat BKS.
GKS took the lead as early as the 3rd minute, through a goal by Mateusz Czerwiński. In the 21st minute, the visitors were already 2–0 ahead. This time, Karol Nikodem took aim from a free kick and, with a fine shot from 25 metres, put the ball into the top corner of the goal guarded by Jakub Walczak. The score remained unchanged until half-time.
The fans saw one more goal in the second half. The final score of 3–0 for GKS was set in the 75th minute by Brazilian Pedro. In this half, Dawid Kizyma performed well in goal. The BKS goalkeeper made several effective saves, including in one-on-one situations. Despite their attempts, the Bolesławiec players were unable to score in the match. GKS Cement Raciborowice defeated BKS II Bolesławiec 3–0 (2–0), taking the first step on the road to promotion to the regional league.
In the next round (August 20), GKS will play a municipal derby in Iwiny, where they will face the local GKS. BKS II, meanwhile, will play away against LKS Ocice.
