The second-round match of the Polish Regional Cup was played on Wednesday (8 September) at the pitch on Graniczna Street, at the so-called “Rowek”. Kolonia Bolesławiec, who play in Class B, hosted fourth-tier BKS Bobrzanie. Before the match, BKS were the clear favourites, but Kolonia, who had been written off for a heavy defeat, played with determination and came close to securing a surprise draw. The match started well for the visitors. After six minutes, BKS were already leading 2:0. In the first minute of the match, Jacek Bochnia put the ball into the net. Five minutes later, Kamil Mielnik added his name to the scoresheet. In the 12th minute, Marcin Wejk shot at BKS's empty goal, and only Błażej Rajchel's intervention prevented the ball from finding the net. There was a great deal of randomness in both teams' play because the state of the pitch at the so-called “Rowek” left much to be desired. The ball bounced on patches of turf and uneven surfaces and took unpredictable spins.
In the first half, Piotr Lesiuk also had a good scoring opportunity for Kolonia, but his shot was off target. What did not work in the first half succeeded in the second. The home side's goal to make it 1:2 was scored by Piotr Lesiuk (55th minute), and a sensation seemed possible at the pitch on Graniczna Street. The score did not change until the end of the match, although Kolonia had several more chances. Sławomir Pełdiak wasted two of them. The Kolonia player failed to hit the target. BKS had even more opportunities. Adam Klimas, Marcin Głowacki and Łukasz Polański shot at Robert Wojciechowski's goal. Their shots were off target or blocked. Łukasz Filipiak also failed to take advantage of a good opportunity; he sent the ball under the crossbar but failed to surprise Kolonia's goalkeeper. After a very poor match, BKS defeated Kolonia Bolesławiec 2:1 and advanced to the next round of the Polish Regional Cup.
