– Police officers from Lubin were investigating an assault that took place in the city. According to the report, after a football match, a group of young people attacked their peers – reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin. – Detectives established that one of the perpetrators called his friends so they could beat up the boys from the opposing team. The reason was allegedly that the victims did not want to play another match.
The incident took place around noon on the school sports field on Kilińskiego Street in Lubin. The spokeswoman said: – The incident was recorded by the city surveillance system, which shows the perpetrators punching and kicking their victims, causing bodily injuries. It all lasted several minutes. The attackers fled after MOPS employees intervened.
Detectives established the identities of all those involved in the incident. Police said: – They are minors from Lubin, aged between 12 and 16.
The attackers were taken to the Police Juvenile Room in Legnica and were then brought before the court. Police officers held a preventive warning conversation with the youngest aggressor in the presence of his parents and – in accordance with the applicable regulations – forwarded the materials to the court.
Five minors were sent to educational facilities for three months. The family court will decide the young people's further fate.
