In Bolesławiec, there is no place where mothers with infants feel as comfortable as they do during music classes. The little ones calm down and listen attentively to the world of sounds around them. This is not the only benefit. Thanks to music, a child may achieve better results at school in the future. Yamaha Music School offers music programs that develop children’s abilities.

Babies in the Land of Sound

A program for children from four months of age. In this program, music serves as a language. It enables communication between parent and child, as well as between child and teacher. Parents are often pleasantly surprised as they observe the relationships developing between parent and child and between child and teacher. The classes provide children with a sense of security through the repeated rhythm of the lessons. An important element of the classes is the use of the Dennisons method, which supports the balanced development of both brain hemispheres. While using the “free discovery” method with classical music, parents observe their children’s behavior as they respond to music and establish contact with other children. These classes give parents an opportunity to spend special time with their children.

Toddlers and Music

A program for children from 18 months to four years of age. It includes three themed textbooks: “Summer,” “Autumn” and “Winter.” Each new song learned during the classes is an opportunity to discover the world of everyday activities and view it from a child’s perspective. Children learn about activities performed in the kitchen, at preschool and on the street, among other things. They easily absorb the musical material, consisting of 43 songs and rhymes. Each song is accompanied by gestures to help children remember and understand it more easily. The program uses Orff instruments—percussion instruments with uncomplicated playing techniques. Music also inspires children to paint and draw. Participation in the program makes music part of a child’s everyday life and natural environment. Additional benefits of the classes include faster speech development, an expanded vocabulary and more confident contact with peers.

The Wonderful World of Music

The program is intended for children from four years of age. At this age, children imitate the adult world in their play. The program takes this natural inclination into account and recognizes it as an excellent opportunity to teach through play. In this way, music becomes an essential and natural means through which children experience the world. Combining music with movement helps children better coordinate the movements of individual parts of their bodies and teaches them new motor skills. Once a week, children have the opportunity to spend time in the “Wonderful World of Music.” They sing, listen and make music. The basic objectives are to develop musical hearing, train the voice and cultivate a sense of rhythm. All this can be achieved by singing children’s songs, using solfège—learning to read music through the voice—and playing various instruments. When preparing for classes with musical instruments, children first learn to recognize them and then make music together as an ensemble.

In addition, Yamaha Music School offers instrumental programs in which children learn to play, study theory and make music together through play: keyboard classes from age six, classical guitar from age ten, and electric guitar for children, teenagers and adults. We invite you.
