At around 6:00 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to aleja Tysiąclecia in Bolesławiec. The driver of an Opel passenger car, bearing Bolesławiec registration plates, veered off the road and hit a tree.
According to the police's preliminary findings, the driver fainted, which caused the incident. The injured man was taken to hospital.
One of the men who was near the scene said that he ran over with a colleague and, together with other people, disconnected the battery after seeing smoke rising from the car.
The fire service, a medical emergency team and the police were at the scene.
