In Poland, initiatives of this kind are supervised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and coordinated by the National Heritage Institute. The office states: “In accordance with the 2003 UNESCO Convention, inclusion on the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage constitutes the basis for any possible submission of an application to include a heritage element from Poland on the international lists maintained by UNESCO under this Convention.”

During the meeting, the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec was entrusted with coordinating the initiative. The declaration was signed by 29 custodians.
