Honorary patronage of the event has been assumed by Zenon Piątkowski, the son of the trail’s creator, who actively practices regional tourism, including cycling. The rally will be an excellent opportunity to spend free time actively, as well as to discover interesting places, historical landmarks and natural monuments around Bolesławiec.
The rally will take place on 5 August 2023 and will follow the southern section of the yellow trail named after Leon Piątkowski, which runs around Bolesławiec. The approximately 31-kilometre route leads through Bolesławiec – Kruszyn – Łaziska – Stare Jaroszowice – Suszki – Kraszowice – Bolesławiec.
The rally will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Bolesławiec’s market square, near the Tourist Information Point, and will end at approximately 3:00 p.m. at the MOSiR Water and Sports Centre (26 Spacerowa Street) with a shared picnic. During the picnic, there will be skill-based competitions and quizzes testing participants’ knowledge of the tourist attractions of the Bolesławiec region, with book prizes available to win.
Participants can register for the rally by email by sending a completed registration form (a different form applies to an adult and to a guardian of a minor). The form can be found on the organisers’ websites: mosir.boleslawiec.pl and muzeum.boleslawiec.pl. Registrations should be sent to: zawody@mosir.boleslawiec.pl or delivered in person to the Rally Organising Office (MOSiR, Popiełuszki Square – BPW “Orka”).
