The “On a tandem through Bolesławiec County – actively discovering our county” rally for blind people and their sighted pilots is being held thanks to funding obtained from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, at the disposal of Bolesławiec County.

The NNT Foundation is pleased to invite residents of Bolesławiec County on an unforgettable adventure in the form of a Family Bicycle Rally. The event, which will take place on July 9, aims to promote physical activity, social integration and raise awareness of blind people and their everyday challenges.

The Bicycle Rally will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Market Square in Bolesławiec. The NNT Foundation: – This is an event open to everyone interested. We want to encourage both experienced cyclists and amateurs to spend time together on two wheels. It is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the beauty of our region and the support of the local community together with family and friends.

The organization adds:

During the rally, participants will have the opportunity to join blind people on tandems, which will be piloted by scouts from the ZHP Gray Ranks Scout Troop in Bolesławiec; for the scouts, it will be their first exceptional experience of riding a bicycle in pairs. The Niewidomi na Tandemach Foundation will provide professional guidance and instruction so that everyone can feel safe and comfortable on the route. The rally route will include picturesque places in the vicinity of Bolesławiec, showcasing the beauty of our county.

We guarantee all participants an unforgettable tandem-riding experience. Various attractions and competitions for participants will be prepared during the rally. It will be possible to fry your own sausage over a campfire and consult experts on bicycles adapted to the needs of blind people. The Niewidomi na Tandemach Foundation will also be available to answer questions and present its activities for people with disabilities in our region.
