Whether it is a primary school, vocational school, secondary school or technical school, students go outside school grounds to smoke. And they all swear, just like in a song by Elektryczne Gitary. (The children ran merrily out of school/ Spat all over the pavement and chased people away/ They sit on benches and roar at one another/ We are all messed up in the head to be alive). School in Poland is a frustrating place; only artificial intelligence would not swear to let off steam! And adults? We failed our sweet children long ago as role models.

Someone wrote on one of the social media pages:

A neighborhood curse. II LO in Bolesławiec—rather than going to school, they sit on benches by the nearby apartment blocks. And so from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:30. One cigarette after another, "f*** after f***, and everything goes onto the pavement because the trash bin is too far away. The principal of II LO sends complaints to the Municipal Police, because after all, it is not the view from his office window... this was supposed to be a class... because it is a uniformed class..."

We asked the principal about the situation by email and are waiting for a response. To the children frustrated with school, we are obliged to add: smoking kills. To everyone—students, school management, teachers and residents of the housing estate—we dedicate a song that has been somewhat forgotten, but is so relevant: Turbo's song "Adult Children"
