The entire event will be preceded by a Holy Mass for the Borderlands people at the church in Żeliszów at 2:00 p.m., followed by the laying of flowers beneath the commemorative obelisk.
A colourful procession will lead the musicians and guests onto the sports field. On that day, we will be able to see performances by the Kaniowscy Lancers, watch traditional Polish dances, and listen to Borderlands songs.
An interesting feature will be a scene from the film "Sami Swoi", performed by the residents of Żeliszów. In addition to our local groups—the ZPiT Ziemi Bolesławieckiej, GZPiT Jutrzenka, Zespół Metrum and Zespół Ocice—we will be able to hear and see the children from the kindergarten, the Karkonosze ensemble, and our Ukrainian guests: Zespół Czeremszyna from Ternopil and Herman Romanchenko, a participant in The Voice of Ukraine.
In addition to the stage performances, we will be able to view a Borderlands exhibition and handicraft stands. There will also be plenty of tasty food stalls. The event will end with a dance party.
The outdoor event will be preceded by a meeting with employees of the Museum of the Piast Dynasty in Silesia on the 24th, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the Community Hall in Żeliszów. You are very welcome to attend.
