– Officers from the Investigation Department and the Criminal Department of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, acting under the supervision of the Silesian Branch of the National Prosecutor’s Office’s Department for Organized Crime and Corruption in Katowice, arrested the perpetrator of numerous offenses, including sexual offenses, offenses against the family and others – reports Asp. Staff Łukasz Dutkowiak, press officer for the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
He adds:
The investigation established that between 2009 and 2014, the male suspect rented a multi-room apartment in Wrocław to young women and committed numerous offenses against them.
The prosecutor brought a total of six charges against the arrested man, concerning rape, forcing another person to submit to another sexual act, taking advantage of a person’s helplessness and forcing sexual intercourse, abuse and fraud.

Due to the need to ensure the proper course of the proceedings, the genuine risk of interference with the investigation and the severe sentence facing the suspect, the prosecutor applied for the suspect to be placed in temporary detention.
The court placed the suspect in temporary detention for three months. The detainee faces up to 12 years in prison.
Police: – Activities aimed at obtaining evidence confirming other criminal acts committed by the arrested man are still ongoing.
