The incident occurred in the Pielgrzymka municipality. – Officers from the traffic division of the District Police Headquarters in Złotoryja stopped a man driving an agricultural tractor for a roadside check – reports junior aspirant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer of the Złotoryja District Police Headquarters.
During their conversation with the man, the officers began to suspect that he might be under the influence of alcohol. They conducted a breathalyzer test. The spokeswoman said: – The device indicated more than 2 per mille of alcohol in the 56-year-old’s system. Additionally, when checking the man’s details in police databases, it turned out that his driving privileges had been revoked more than a year earlier.
The traffic officers prevented the 56-year-old from continuing to drive the tractor. Junior aspirant D. Kwakszys:
Further proceedings will be conducted in the case, and the court will decide the man’s fate. For committing two offenses, he faces a fine, restriction of liberty, or even up to 2 years in prison. Moreover, in such a case, the court is required to impose a ban on driving motor vehicles for a period ranging from 1 year to as many as 15 years.
