This information will certainly disappoint local football fans and supporters of the teams from Świętoszów and Raciborowice. As we learned from the Jelenia Góra Subdistrict of the Lower Silesian Football Association, the club from Świętoszów (the host of the match) sent a letter to the association stating that Sunday’s match would not be played. The club from Świętoszów reported that it was unable to play the match because of business trips and training courses involving players at the club.
Therefore, GKS can already add 3 points to its tally. During the 2022/2023 season, which is coming to an end, both clubs were competing for promotion to the regional league. Raciborowice will now move 2 points ahead of the team from Świętoszów.
However, the team from Świętoszów still has one away match to play against LZS Niwnice. GKS, meanwhile, will have a bye in the final round. Therefore, if Twardy wins in Niwnice, it will move 1 point ahead of GKS, return to the top of the table and win promotion to the regional league. In the event of a draw or a defeat for Świętoszów, GKS will remain in first place and will be the team celebrating promotion.

We have received information that the club from Raciborowice, despite being able to claim an easy 3 points, wants to play and is seeking to have the match against Świętoszów take place. GKS proposed playing the match with a full squad at a later date, namely on June 21 or 22, at 6:00 p.m. What does Twardy Świętoszów think? Time will tell.
