Mr and Mrs Agnieszka and Ireneusz Ciesielski served as a foster family for five years: first as a non-professional foster family (from July 2018 to the end of March 2022), and then—from April 2022 to the end of May 2023—as a professional foster family. During this time, 10 children stayed with their foster family.
Bolesławiec County: – They repeatedly provided assistance in caring for children from other foster families while those families were on holiday.
The local government adds:
Agnieszka and Ireneusz are trained in caring for and raising children. In December 2018, they completed training for candidates wishing to serve as foster families, organized and conducted by the District Family Support Centre in Bolesławiec, and obtained a Qualification Certificate to serve as a non-professional foster family. They systematically cooperate with a foster care coordinator and have taken part in training sessions and workshops organized by PCPR in Bolesławiec to improve parenting skills. They have a full understanding of the educational and social, health, legal, emotional and developmental needs of the children placed with their family.
They add:
They have extensive experience in caring for and raising children, gained, among other things, by raising their two own daughters, who are now adults, and while caring for children staying with their foster family. They are very sensitive to children’s needs and are always ready to take appropriate action out of concern for their wellbeing and safety.
Mr and Mrs Ciesielski provide tremendous support to the children, give them a sense of security, and offer them a chance for comprehensive development and, consequently, a better start in life.
