The Council’s composition was selected from among representatives of municipalities, the county, associations working for people with disabilities, non-governmental organisations and foundations. It consists of: Magdalena Dul-Hutnik from the CzaSami Foundation, Łukasz Januszke from the Active Rehabilitation Foundation, Marian Kostecki – representative of the Municipality of Bolesławiec, Julita Witnik – representative of the Municipality of Gromadka, and Maria Klimkowska from the Bolesławiec Branch of the Friends of Children Society.
Łukasz Januszke was appointed Chair of the Council, Maria Klimkowska became Deputy Chair, and Julita Witnik was entrusted with the role of Secretary.
The Social Council is an advisory and consultative body. It cooperates with the County Governor, the Department of Civic, Social and Health Affairs, the County Family Support Centre and the County Labour Office, providing advice mainly on matters concerning the distribution of financial resources intended to meet the needs of people with disabilities. It identifies existing architectural barriers and the need to remove them. In addition, it assesses the purpose, quality and effectiveness of all actions taken for people with disabilities, including people with special needs.
The meeting was also an opportunity to thank the outgoing Council members for their social commitment and effective work. The Council consisted of: Marian Kostecki, Łukasz Januszke, Maria Długoszewska, Marianna Pasti and Jan Mosiądz.
