From August 12 to 16, young firefighters, together with members of the Volunteer Fire Service in Osiecznica, collected donations for flood victims. The collection included shovels, buckets, cleaning products, food products, household goods and PLN 450, which the organizers used to purchase chemical products. “We were greatly surprised that a deaf-mute boy donated as much as PLN 170 for this worthy cause,” says Damian Tomiak, head of the Youth Fire Brigade. “He earned the money by picking mushrooms.”
The donations will go to Radomierzyce residents affected by the flood (Zgorzelec County). “We thank everyone who supported our campaign,” Tomiak adds.
