10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów:

A secured march, camouflage, crossing terrain in various ways and digging a trench from a prone position. It was an intense day for the trainees of the Voluntary Basic Military Service. See how they did!

Let us recall. On Monday, May 8, more than 90 people passed through the gate of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów as part of the intake for the Voluntary Basic Military Service (DZSW). At the time, the unit reported:

The beginning of May also marked the beginning of the second DZSW training session of 2023. From the morning hours, volunteers arrived at the unit’s gate to undergo training with us, during which they would see what the military is like. First came the completion of documents, medical examinations, a conversation with a psychologist, finalizing the formalities and moving to the subunit where they would spend the next month. There, they were assigned to platoons and squads and issued uniforms and essential equipment. Now it was time to unpack and say goodbye to their civilian belongings for the next 26 days. From now on, their everyday clothing would be a military uniform.

The service members added:

DZSW is not only military training. It is also an excellent test for the recruits themselves. Their physical fitness, mental resilience and ability to cope with stress will be tested. Time passes faster in the military, and only 26 days remain until the oath. Intensive exercises lie ahead, during which they will learn, among other things, shooting, weapon handling and drill.
