The incident occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Zygmunta Augusta Street in Bolesławiec, near the stadium. Three passenger cars collided.
According to preliminary information, one person from the Mazda was injured and taken to hospital. According to an account by one of the passers-by, the Fiat Panda with Bolesławiec registration plates was turning left. At that time, it was reportedly being overtaken by a Mazda with Ukrainian plates. A collision occurred. The Mazda left the road and then also hit a Volkswagen parked in a lay-by and a tree.

According to police findings, the 43-year-old Mazda driver, who was intoxicated (2 per mille), improperly overtook the Fiat, whose driver was turning left, thereby causing a side collision. Continuing on, he hit a parked vehicle and a tree. The Mazda passenger was taken to hospital, while the driver was detained.
