Young basketball players from the Bolesławiec Basketball Club “StarBol” will travel for the second time to an international training camp in Tanvald (Czech Republic). A sporting holiday is possible because the club is participating in the EU project “Youth Basketball 2010 in the Nysa Euroregion”, co-financed by the Czech Republic–Poland Operational Programme EWT.

The camp will take place from 22 to 29 August and will be attended by around 100 people, including 30 from Bolesławiec. Joint training sessions and sporting competition will be held in a modern sports hall with three basketball courts. Jarosław Leszczyński, coach of the Bolesławiec team, stresses that such a camp is not only an opportunity to improve basketball skills, but also a great way to spend the holidays.

In addition to sports activities, the project participants will enjoy many attractions: joint trips, integration meetings during which young people from both countries will learn about Polish and Czech customs, as well as swimming-pool activities.

The young basketball players are convinced that the camp will help them prepare better for the season beginning in October. In the upcoming competitions, “StarBol” teams will compete in three age categories. We are keeping our fingers crossed for our club’s success!
