Bolesławiec went into Saturday’s match weakened. Several players from the starting lineup were missing, including two defenders. Nevertheless, the opening minutes did not suggest such a heavy defeat for the team from the city of ceramics. From the very beginning, both teams tried to impose their style of play. In the 11th minute, Łużyce took the lead through a goal by Paweł Urbaniak. The player took advantage of a cross from the left side of the pitch and headed the ball past the BKS goalkeeper. In the 18th minute, Łużyce scored their second goal. This time, Kamil Młynarski found the net, and that was the score at half-time.
In the second half, the Lubań players continued attacking the BKS goal. The match was played at a fast pace, with Łużyce holding the advantage and confirming it with further goals. BKS tried to respond, but despite their efforts, nothing worked for them that day. Meanwhile, it was a great day for the scorer of Lubań’s first goal. Paweł Urbaniak completed a hat-trick against BKS, scoring in the 50th and 70th minutes. Also on the scoresheet were Dawid Kowalonek – 60th minute (own goal) – and Michał Zahaczewski – 69th minute. For BKS, this was one of those matches that must be forgotten as quickly as possible. The game ended with a deserved 6–0 (2–0) victory for Łużyce.
On May 3, Bolesławiec will face Kuźnia Jawor away from home.
BKS II also played on Saturday. Mariusz Rutkowski’s team defeated GKS Tomaszów Bolesławiecki 3–2.
