Bolesławiec Forest District informs that, due to the increasing threat posed by a harmful insect—the pine lappet moth—it plans to carry out a protective treatment using agricultural aviation equipment in pine stands from 25–30 April this year.
Foresters add:
The planned forest area designated for spraying (652.32 ha) is located in Bolesławiec County, in the Municipality of Bolesławiec—439.05 ha—and the Municipality of Osiecznica—213.27 ha. The area concerns Krępnica Forest District in the compartments marked on the attached map.
They also add:
The treatment will be carried out using Mospilan 20 SP at a dose of 0.3 kg/ha. The product is an insecticide intended for professional use in protecting coniferous and deciduous trees against the larvae of leaf-eating pests.
The pre-harvest interval does not apply to people or bees. The waiting period for forest undergrowth is 14 days. The area designated for aerial spraying will be marked with signs informing about a temporary ban on entering the forest.
