On April 20, the district-level stage of the 2023 Road Traffic Safety Tournament was held at Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec. Participants had to complete a test on their knowledge of road traffic regulations and take part in the practical section of the tournament: a bicycle skills course.
A total of 92 students competed in two categories:
- younger (Group I, born in 2011 or later);
- older (Group II, born in 2010 or earlier).
Ultimately, the hosts won Group I: Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec defeated Oxpress and Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec.
In Group II, the team from Oxpress won, followed by the students from Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny (Łukasz Konefał, Filip Mosorka and Piotr Tomaszewski). Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec took third place.
Filip Mosorka from Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny also won an individual award in the older group and became the owner of a new mountain bike.
The winning teams from the younger and older groups advanced to the next stage of the tournament, which will be held in Jelenia Góra.
Gmina Bolesławiec was one of this year’s tournament sponsors, and deputy mayor of Gmina Bolesławiec Roman Jaworski personally congratulated the winners.
