On Friday, April 21, Olympian’s Day was held at the sports hall at Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec. Twenty athletes who had competed in the Olympic Games attended the celebrations of this special occasion in Bolesławiec. Among them were Renata Mauer-Różańska and Urszula Włodarczyk. Bolesławiec native Ryszard Tomczyk was also present.
Children from Bolesławiec schools and preschools gathered in the sports hall with their teachers. City and county authorities were also present, along with people involved in sport from Bolesławiec and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The ceremony began with speeches and the raising of the Olympic flag on the flagpole.
