Rain falling since yesterday is causing numerous floodings. Farms and homes were flooded in Raciborowice Górne, Godzieszów, Milików, Modła and Nowogrodziec. The water level in the Bóbr River has risen by 10 cm above its normal level. There are 50 centimetres to go before the water starts overflowing its banks. For now, there is no danger, although the situation may change.
A considerable number of buildings have been flooded in Lwówek County. In Chmielno, Zbylutów, Żerkowice and Skorzynice, water entered several dozen homes.
The rain is also making driving on the roads more difficult. Two collisions occurred yesterday. In Kruszyn, one car rear-ended another, while on the Bolesławiec–Kliczków route, a car ended up in a ditch. The drivers were unharmed. Early this morning, at the same bend on the route to Kliczków, a woman lost control of her vehicle. She was taken to hospital with spinal injuries.
