The leader of Law and Justice spoke in Warsaw on the 13th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster.

Jarosław Kaczyński accused Russian President Władimir Putin of carrying out the attack. At the same time, he announced that a notification would be filed concerning the murder of the President of the Republic of Poland. Kaczyński also expressed hope that prosecutors would be found to handle such a case.

– On the one hand, Putin has already been indicted; on the other hand, very little is happening in the case of the Smolensk crime, which was Putin’s crime. But recently, something has started to move – said Jarosław Kaczyński.

– In a moment, here in Poland, a notification will be filed concerning the commission of the crime of murdering the President of the Republic of Poland. The Polish investigative authorities are conducting an investigation, but not in this area. And I hope they will take up this case, that they will not back down, that courageous prosecutors will be found. And in advance, I thank them for this courage (...) A day of truth is needed; it will come very soon – said the PiS leader.

Jarosław Kaczyński also thanked Antoni Macierewicz for his work on the Smolensk commission.
