The “Lubuskie Żywioły 2023” exercises covered the forces and resources of the central operational reserve of the KSRG from Lubusz, Lower Silesian, Greater Poland and Opole voivodeships.

The Bolesławiec Specialist Technical Rescue Group, part of the Lower Silesian Reserve Brigade, took part in the exercises. The group participated in five scenarios.

29 March 2023 (Wednesday)

The exercises began with lifting a truck using air cushions and hydraulic tools. After the truck had been stabilised, a passenger car was pulled out from underneath it using a winch. The group was then sent to a scenario involving the recovery of a vehicle from a river using a hydraulic winch. The group worked together with the Specialist Water and Diving Rescue Group. The next exercise involved lifting a tank with pneumatic cushions and moving it using a hydraulic winch.

29 April 2023 (Thursday)

On the second day of the exercises, the group’s task was to recover a vehicle from a river using a portable crane (HDS). It worked together with the Specialist Water and Diving Rescue Group, the Specialist High-Altitude Rescue Group and the Specialist Chemical and Ecological Group. The final exercise involved an overturned bus that had to be lifted using air cushions, hydraulic tools and hydraulic winches. SGRT Bolesławiec worked together with SGRT Brzeg, whose equipment includes an SCRt ROTATOR fitted with a telescopic crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 54 tonnes.
