On 15 March, we reported that Piotr Borys, an MP from the Civic Coalition, issued an ultimatum to TVP. At the time, Piotr Borys announced on his Facebook profile the steps he had taken against the public broadcaster:
On 10 March 2023, I sent a demand to “Telewizja Polska” S.A. to stop violating my personal rights and to remove the effects of the violations by submitting a declaration of intent through the permanent removal from the websites administered by “Telewizja Polska” S.A. of all content violating my personal rights, ceasing further publication of this content, publishing an apology and paying PLN 100,000 for a social cause, the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation, within 3 days of receiving the demand.
This demand is final. If “Telewizja Polska” S.A. fails to take the requested actions within the specified period, I will initiate court proceedings.I am giving them until Monday, 20 March.

Today (21 March), Piotr Borys announced on his Facebook profile that he had filed a lawsuit against TVP:
Today I filed a lawsuit seeking protection of personal rights against TVP for damaging my good name and disseminating false information, as well as an award of compensation for the benefit of the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation.

Piotr Borys’s lawsuit against TVP
Let us recall:
The case concerns the suicide of the son of a Civic Platform MP. The tragic incident occurred on 17 February. Earlier, the case of the boy’s abuse was described in government media (Radio Szczecin and TVP Info), which provided details allowing him to be identified. Since information about the suicide appeared in March, a campaign against him has continued in the public media, according to Piotr Borys.
