The case concerns the suicide of the son of a female MP from Platforma Obywatelska. The tragic incident occurred on 17 February. Earlier, government-controlled media outlets (Radio Szczecin and TVP Info) described the boy’s molestation case and provided information that made it possible to identify him. Since information about the suicide appeared in March, a campaign against him has been continuing in the public media, according to Piotr Borys.

On his Facebook profile, Piotr Borys announced the steps he had taken against the public broadcaster:
On 10 March 2023, I sent a formal demand to “Telewizja Polska” S.A. to cease violating my personal rights and to remove the effects of the violations by submitting a declaration of intent through the permanent removal from websites administered by “Telewizja Polska” S.A. of all content violating my personal rights, ceasing further publication of this content, publishing an apology, and paying PLN 100,000 for a social cause to the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation, within three days of receiving the demand.
This demand is final. If “Telewizja Polska” S.A. does not take the requested action within the specified period, I will pursue the matter in court.I am giving them until Monday, 20 March.
