At night on July 23, police officers in Bolesławiec stopped a scooter rider. The man attracted the officers’ attention because he was riding without a helmet. Moreover, the scooter rider was unable to maintain a straight line (he was riding from kerb to kerb). It turned out that the man had over 2 per mille of alcohol in his system. The arrested man also had a forged driving licence. His driving privileges had been revoked in 2009 for driving under the influence. The man explained that he had scanned and printed the driving licence as a keepsake. He now faces up to 5 years in prison.
