On 10 and 11 July, a festival organized by the local Volunteer Fire Service and the Youth Firefighting Team was held in Osiecznica. On Saturday, the following groups performed on stage: Nad Kwisą and Rafineria. Visitors could cool off in a swimming pool, shoot an air rifle, and take rides in a fire engine, a horse-drawn carriage and on horseback. The first day of the event ended with a dance party. DJ Cygan provided the music.
During the festival, the youngest visitors could play in inflatable castles. The raffle, art competition and firefighters’ obstacle race proved particularly popular.
The broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup final matches aroused the greatest excitement, however. The proceeds from the event (PLN 1,500) were allocated to co-financing the Youth Firefighting Team’s camp. On 18 August, the young firefighters will leave for Międzyrzecz.
“I am full of appreciation for those who came to the festival to thank these young firefighters,” says Damian Tomiak, head of the Youth Firefighting Team. “The participants showed that they recognize the team’s work and support it wholeheartedly. I think my charges deserve a reward for their year-round hard work for the benefit of the municipality.”

Nowak, Andrzejowi Olszowemu, Zbigniewowi Drozdowi, the parents of Youth Firefighting Team members, the county’s residents, who supported this initiative, and Mr Janek from the Kliczków stables. The festival organizers extend special thanks to Wiesławowi Broszce.
