Recently, the DZPN team visited Bolesławiec with a camera during a training session for young BKS footballers. The film reveals that the BKS Bolesławiec Football Academy provides training in all age groups. Some of them have two teams training. The sessions are led by a dozen or so coaches.

Coaches Sebastian Tylutki and Maciej Sawicki of BKS talk about the academy and the situation at the club. The DZPN feature also did not forget about BKS’s first team, which competes in the fourth division. Captain of the first team Jacek Bochnia talks about the objectives for the spring round.

Watch the DZPN feature:

BKS Bolesławiec is the largest football club involved in training children and young people in Bolesławiec and the surrounding area.

As BKS President Michał Lis reports:

Currently, around 230 footballers train at BKS Bolesławiec in total.

The club tries to rely primarily on its own academy graduates, who progress from children’s groups through youth teams and eventually reach the adult groups. The board does not receive remuneration for its work at the club; it works on a voluntary basis. The coaches are paid.

Children, young people and adult players are eagerly and hopefully awaiting the results of the renovation of the stadium on Spółdzielcza and the reconstruction of the Water and Sports Centre on Spacerowa Street.

A proper training facility, including a full-size artificial pitch, is badly needed for the sporting development of groups of every age. Bolesławiec lacks such facilities, and for now the footballers are forced to use facilities in Lubań, Zgorzelec, Żagań and Legnica.
