The nativity play is a true tradition at this institution. This year too—after a break caused by the pandemic—the children performed on Tuesday, 24 January 2023, in the auditorium of the Municipal Cultural Centre and Library in Gromadka, presenting a Christmas-themed programme. Among the many invited guests were retired kindergarten employees, members of the Senior Citizens’ Club, the preschoolers’ families, as well as children from the Children’s Club in Modła with their grandmothers and grandfathers.

The colourful performance, consisting of carols and scenes, brought the story of the Nativity closer to the audience and put everyone in a festive mood. The children showed real talent on the large stage. The songs included both traditional carols and children’s songs about Christmas. The entire performance was a traditional nativity play, allowing the invited guests to admire such characters as Joseph and Mary, shepherds, sheep, the Three Kings and numerous angelic choirs.

Everyone wore themed costumes, while the set featured a nativity scene specially prepared for the occasion. Each child had a role to perform—to recite a poem, sing a carol, act out a scene or dance. The audience made no secret of their emotion; the performance was exceptional. At the end, the children gave their grandmothers and grandfathers, as well as the guests, gifts prepared at the kindergarten with their teachers.
