The police summary of 2022 states, among other things:
(...) there was a decrease in total crime, criminal offenses and offenses in 7 selected categories compared with the previous year (2021 – editor’s note: istotne.pl).
Key data concerning the past year:
- KPP officers in Bolesławiec performed 9,625 preventive-service shifts (1,263 more than in 2021), including 159 additional shifts funded by the Municipality of Warta Bolesławiecka and the Municipality of Gromadka.
- The traffic police performed 3,596 shifts.
- Officers recorded 10,996 offenses, which resulted in the offenders receiving fines, educational measures (a warning or reprimand), or applications for punishment being submitted to the court.
- They conducted 3,398 explanatory proceedings concerning offenses.
- They carried out 18,530 interventions. (This was an increase of 1,511 compared with 2021).
- They checked the identities of 46,265 people. (This was also an increase).
- They apprehended 433 wanted persons.
- As a result of preparatory proceedings conducted by Bolesławiec officers, the court, at the prosecutor’s request, ordered 44 temporary detentions.
- 655 perpetrators of crimes were apprehended in the act or during an immediate pursuit.
- There were 35 road accidents in the county. (The same number was recorded in 2021.) 4 people died.
- There were 1,158 collisions. (137 fewer than in 2021).
- Officers checked 12,827 vehicle drivers and pedestrians. (They applied 5,525 legal measures and seized 857 registration certificates.)
- They identified 251 drivers who were either intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or had consumed alcohol.
- The SPEED team alone recorded 657 offenses.
- They completed 189 Blue Card forms. (19 fewer than in the previous year).
- As many as 429 people were held in the detention facility at the new police headquarters.
