On June 26, a charity match took place in which the Przemiana i Przyjaciele team faced the Reprezentacja Artystów Polskich. Unfortunately, the previously announced stars were absent from the RAP team. The team arrived with a little-known and severely reduced lineup. We wrote about the event HERE.
At the beginning of July, an email from Reader Beata arrived in the editorial inbox. It read: “After that unfortunate match with the stars, I was so disappointed that I decided to send an email to RAP, specifically to the President, Mr. Ryszard Adamus. I thought I would write and that would be the end of it. Imagine my surprise when, while checking my email, I saw a reply, with an attached letter asking me to pass its contents on to the residents of the city of Bolesławiec.”
Below, we publish the letter from the President of the Reprezentacja Artystów Polskich, Ryszard Adamus.
Warsaw, July 1, 2010,
Dear Ms. Beata,
I regret to admit that I must agree with all the accusations directed at me (because I represent RAP). In my defense, I can only say that this is a team made up of people who treat playing football as a passion. Whenever a situation arises in which additional photos (a film) or a replacement (theater) come up, they have to choose work. In this case, unfortunately, it so happened that in several instances there were professional matters as well as two injuries—they were enough to make the absence from the match in Bolesławiec so significant.
For my part, I promise that if you would like to host us in Bolesławiec again, we will come at our own expense with a full lineup of “stars.” Once again, I apologize for the disappointment experienced by the residents of the city.
Yours sincerely,
Ryszard Adamus
President of the Board
