The incident occurred on Friday, December 30, in Kruszyn. Someone set fire to a magnificent tree—a pedunculate oak that is recognized as a natural monument. There is a sign next to the tree informing visitors of this fact. The tree was burning inside.
Firefighters from OSP Warta Bolesławiecka arrived at the scene. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished and the tree did not suffer any serious damage.
