2022 will go down as a very successful year...
When, in June, after almost 20 years, we managed to acquire a brand-new rescue and firefighting vehicle, our unit did not end its efforts to improve its vehicle fleet. Thanks to the intensive work of the management board, members and sponsors, we achieved something incredible.
In 2022, we replaced 3 vehicles, meaning all of them with new, newer or better ones:
- Star 12 225 GBA, year 2004, with Renault D15 GBA 3/28, year 2022 (purchased in June thanks to grants from the Municipality of Nowogrodziec, KG PSP and sponsors),
- SCD 30 Jelcz, year 1978, with SD 30 Man, year 1996 (purchased in December with OSP’s own funds),
- GBM Star 266, year 1988, with... and here comes the important part: the only one in the county in the OSP operational unit, a heavy GCBA 5/24 Jelcz rescue and firefighting vehicle, year 2000 (purchased in December with OSP’s own funds).
The average age of the vehicles changed from over 32 years to 16! A full description of the vehicles and their specifications will be available soon. They are currently being equipped with rescue and firefighting equipment and adapted to our requirements.
