The Christmas holidays are behind us. During this time, Bolesławiec police officers conducted operations to keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure that residents of our county could safely spend time with their loved ones.
As always during this period, officers responded to various domestic incidents related to family disputes and conducted sobriety checks on drivers.
Over the 3 days, patrols intervened more than 100 times in Bolesławiec County, and officers checked nearly 200 people and 60 vehicles. Four people wanted by the justice system were arrested.
There were 4 road incidents in our county. On December 24, a road accident occurred in Osiecznica Commune: an intoxicated motorcycle rider lost control of the vehicle on a bend and hit a concrete pole. The 36-year-old was riding with nearly 1‰ of alcohol in his system. He was taken to hospital with multiple injuries.
During the holiday period, 3 more drivers were arrested for also getting behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. On the first day of the holidays, a drunk driver crashed into a building. The 32-year-old had 1.5‰ of alcohol in his system.
In addition, Bolesławiec district officers arrested a 25-year-old man who had drugs in his possession.
